Metallodolce - Ritualis
A matter of grams.
Featherweight as origami but durable as metal, Metallodolce’s lightshades are the result of a research that plays with the limits of the material’s properties in order to generate unique and unexpected forms. The Ritualis candleholders profit from the material’s flexibility by bending it into a cylinder and create a set of shadows.
I believe in a responsible design, which not only reduces the quantity of material used but also the environmental impact of the object’s production, distribution, and sale. In fact, thanks to the material’s elasticity, Metallodolce’s lightshades are sold in a flat packaging (envelops) into which they are ready to be slipped directly after coming out of the cutting machine. Then, they can be sent around the World just like a regular letter. The production and distribution cycle is rationalized and scaled down to the minimum effort.
